This video shows an easy way to build a balloon drum from a cardboard box. There are many options for materials, shapes or heights, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
“Concrete Form Tube” Drum
While a bit harder to come by, you can also stuff a balloon into a form tube (for fence posts).
These tubes can be found at the hardware store. These are 8′ or 244cm long, with an 8″/ 20cm diameter (actual diameter varies a bit).
I cut these tubes into 5 equal pieces (20″ / 50cm). I make a guide line for the cut.
Ready to paint! I usually do a coat of black so the text doesn’t bleed through.
